A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a comparable discipline
At least 5 years of steadily advancing experience in general ledger accounting or a comparable finance position
Solid command of accounting principles, standards, and financial reporting requirements
Comfort with ERP systems alongside advanced Excel skills
Outstanding analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a strong eye for detail
Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams

Taking ownership of and supervising general ledger accounting work, covering journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes
Compiling and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations while looking into and sorting out any discrepancies without delay
Backing the assembly of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements that follow applicable accounting standards
Coordinating and helping with internal and external audits by supplying documentation and explanations for general ledger accounts
Spotting chances to strengthen accounting processes, controls, and efficiency across the general ledger function
Offering guidance and mentorship to junior accounting colleagues on general ledger procedures and best practices
