Key Responsibilities:
Tender Preparation & Management: Oversee the entire tendering process, including reviewing RFQ documents, preparing technical and commercial proposals, and coordinating submission deadlines.
Technical Analysis: Interpret complex electrical and automation specifications, automotive production requirements, and system designs to develop high-quality tender responses.
Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates, considering materials, labor, equipment, and potential third-party services for automation and automotive systems.
Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with internal teams (sales, procurement, finance, legal, HR, planning and project management) to gather relevant information, validate technical solutions, and align proposals with company capabilities.
Client & Supplier Interaction: Liaise with clients to clarify technical requirements and with suppliers to source accurate pricing and delivery timelines.
Compliance & Documentation: Ensure tender documents meet industry standards, country regulations, and internal quality processes.
Market & Competitor Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and new technologies in the automation and automotive sectors to enhance tender strategies.
Risk & Opportunity Assessment: Identify potential risks and opportunities within tender submissions and include appropriate contingencies in cost estimations.
Training and mentoring: Train and mentor junior staff members to ensure that they can effectively manage the tender process.
Post-Tender Activities: Analyze tender outcomes and gather feedback to improve future submissions. Maintain a database of tender responses and lessons learned for reference. Initiate weekly meetings with supervisors and PM to follow up on the actual progress and challenges the installation team…
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
3–5 years of experience in tendering, estimating, or proposal management within the automation and/or automotive industries.
Strong technical knowledge of industrial automation systems, robotics, PLC/SCADA systems, and automotive manufacturing processes.
Experience in tender management tools like DWG TrueView, Navisworks, Vectorworks and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tenders simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
Willingness to travel 30-50 days per year for project oversight and onsite training.
