We are looking for a Senior Server Support Specialist in Warsaw to improve server support. He will get the chance to work in a team of over a dozen employees and external consultants to drive client's servers support.
In this position, you will be collaborating closely with the Server Engineering team (governance, security, architecture & design) running projects & defining infrastructure’s future, as well as the external company doing most of the daily support operation work from India. He will focus on reducing the number and duration of major incidents, resource optimization (people's work, servers, licenses, etc.), and improving support for other teams doing IT operation and development.

Czy do nas pasujesz?
Minimum 5 years of experience in managing at least a few hundreds of RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Unix servers in enterprise environments
Practical experience with management and deployment tools, specifically RedHat Satellite
Strong understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies and compute operations, with a focus on automation, analysis, modification, and testing of cloud services
Ability to design, build, implement, and maintain automation (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) to optimize GCP cloud spend, identify and remediate security risks, and safeguard compliance across the platform
Experience in identifying, verifying, and remediating inconsistent configurations across hybrid-cloud environments
Familiarity with modern management and monitoring tools tailored for RedHat/Unix ecosystems and GCP infrastructure
Highly skilled at daily server management (diagnosing and troubleshooting RedHat/Unix issues, responding to major incidents, quickly restoring services, and delivering technical consultation to other units). JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow/Remedy or similar
Skilled at planning and controlling IT operations (defining, creating, and ensuring standard operating procedures; ensuring compliance with Engineering and Cybersecurity policies; patching, upgrading, hardening, and monitoring)
Proficiency in English, spoken and written (at least B2 level)
Result-oriented, proactive in automation and optimization
Analytical, accurate, and taking care of details while caring for quality
Accountable, taking ownership and delivering results
Collaborative, with a strong team-player approach
Nice-to-have knowledge and experience:
Experience in managing other Unix Os-es: Solaris, AIX, IBMi. Veritas Cluster Administration
Practical experience with VM support under VMware environment

Manage server lifecycle activities, including patching, upgrades, hardening, monitoring, and compliance with internal standards
Design and implement automation solutions using tools such as Ansible and Terraform to improve operational efficiency and optimize cloud infrastructure
