Project Leadership & Execution: Lead all aspects of project planning, execution, and finalization to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to exact specifications.
Budgetary & Financial Control: Take direct responsibility for developing robust project budgets and maintaining strict financial control throughout the project lifecycle, including the review and approval of invoices, timesheets, and resource allocation.
Commercial Management: Manage all project variations and claims, ensuring the company’s commercial interests are protected, and submit monthly applications for payment in line with agreed plans.
Progress Monitoring & Reporting: Oversee project progress to provide clear visibility to senior management through regular status reporting, ensuring all stakeholders are informed of milestones and performance.
Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify and manage project risks and issues, ensuring that lessons learned are captured and documented to drive continuous improvement for future projects.
Operational Standards: Ensure all company policies, procedures, and performance standards are strictly implemented, and that site teams receive all technical documentation required to work efficiently.
Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact, maintaining open and transparent communication between management, clients, site teams, and subcontractors.
Site Oversight: Conduct regular site visits to lead progress meetings, verify quality, and ensure safety goals are being exceeded.
Team Support: Provide active support to other members of the team, fostering a collaborative environment and helping to build internal capability.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of proven experience in Construction Project Management, specifically within the Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) sectors.
Education: Degree-qualified (BSc, MSc, or equivalent) in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field.
Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of M&E installation processes, building codes, and integrated systems.
Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
Communication: Full professional fluency in English (verbal and written) is essential.
Certifications: Project Management certifications (PMI, APM, Prince2) would be an advantage.
