About the role
Be in IT is a recruitment company, specialised in sourcing Specialists from the information technology world. Currently, for our client, we are looking for someone in the position: Collections Agent (Portuguese+English).
Do you fit?
Fluent Portuguese (both written and spoken-C1 level is a must).
Good level of English-(At least B2)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Confidence in handling customer communication via phone and email.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
Previous experience in customer service, administration, or finance is an advantage but not required.
Interest in finance, accounts receivable, or business operations.
ASAP availability is preferred; up to a one-month notice period (effective at the end of the month) is acceptable.
What you'll own
Contacting customers by phone and email regarding overdue invoices and outstanding balances.
Monitoring payment arrangements and tracking customer account status.
Investigating and resolving disputed payments in collaboration with internal teams.
Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and collection activities.
Sending payment reminders and account statements.
Escalating more complex issues to senior team members when necessary.
Ensuring compliance with internal company policies and procedures.
